Nevada, a state in the Western, Mountain West, and Southwestern regions of the United States, is lying between California and Utah. Nearly three-quarters of Nevada’s people live in Clark County, which contains the Las Vegas–Paradise metropolitan area where the state’s three largest incorporated cities are located. Nevada is largely desert and semiarid most of which is located within the Great Basin. Carson City is the capital.
